Maggie MacDonald

CDMI Co-Project Manager

Maggie is a researcher working at the intersection of platform studies and pornography studies, with work published in New Media & Society, the Canadian Journal of Communication and First Monday. Currently a PhD student with the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto Maggie is working in the Media, Technology and Culture concentration. Her doctoral research focuses on pornograpy platforms, and specifically on PornHub, using digital methods to shed light on the production conditions and organizational tactics of free porn sites. In addition to co-managing the CDMI with Elisha Lim, Maggie is a digital archivist with the Sexual Representation Collection pornography archive and a committee member for the Sex Salon speaker series.
